Fashion commerce publication Business of Fashion have published this year’s “BoF500” list of fashion’s biggest movers and shakers. Given the waves streetwear has been making in the mainstream recently, it is hardly surprising to see Highsnob regulars like James Jebbia (Supreme), Lev Tanju (Palace), Chris Kyvetos (Sneakerboy) and Adrian Joffe (COMME des GARCONS & Dover Street Market) gracing the list alongside usual fashion illiuminati figures like Alexander Wang, Anna Wintour, Cara Delevigne and Kate Moss.
While we have been flying the flag for street culture for almost 10 years now, it’s nice to see the upper echelons of the fashion establishment finally realize what we’ve all known for years – that fashion doesn’t need to come from 100-year-old luxury houses to be innovative and exhilarating.
